Background:
Born and raised in Detroit MI. Also serves as a MYNA regional rep, an
MMYC rep and also the Seven Shades Detroit chapter president. Seven
Shades was the first organization he ever joined. Before these
organizations he really had no idea that stuff like this even existed.
He was very excited when he first found out about it. He has been with
Seven Shades since the summer and is very happy to help out in any way
possible.

Vice President: Asya Ziyad
Background: Born and raised in Detroit, Asya has spent more time working in The Muslim Center than doing anything else. She has been a part of the Muslim Center’s kitchen staff for a number of years. She was one of the first students to be enrolled in the M.C.’s Islamic Studies classes. She has studied under Sis. Catherine L. Ziyad, Bro. Hafis Ahmed, Imam Derrick Ali, and Imam Salim Mumin. Asya is currently a senior at Lewis Cass Technical High School in their architecture curriculum. At Cass, she is the Alto Section leader of Harp & Vocal and is also a member of the school’s outstanding Senior Academic Games team. She has been involved in many youth groups and programs both Islamic and interfaith. She has been the VP of Seven Shade’s Detroit Chapter since the summer of 2008. He main goal is to strengthen her community’s Iman, spread the Deen, and make the world a more Islamic place.
