President: Jamila Marr

Background: Born in Philadelphia, PA and Raised in New Haven,CT attending Masjid Al-Islam (founded by Imam Zaid Shakir) is currently a Registered Nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital. During her College years, she was an active member of the Nursing Students' Association (Sophomore Delegate '02-'03), the Muslim Students' Association (General Assembler '02-'03, President '03-'04 & '04-'05), Sankofa Community Empowerment. She held a position on the Dawah (outreach) committee at the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, and studying with brothers and sisters of the Sankore' Institute.

Vice President: Rasheed Ali

Background: His professional field spans from Graphic Design to Software Engineering. He is proficient in building websites, managing multiple servers, 150+ table databases and small groups of employees no more than 10. He also is adept at Java with the Spring Framework, which can handle Data Access Objects, Hibernate Persistence, Java or Groovy Controllers, and different template engines. Although he works very hard, he definitely enjoys service to the Community. During the summer he coaches tee ball for "The Ques",  teaches Sunday school, attends weekly Bible Study, supervises the youth group, teaches computer classes, mentors high school and working youth, and serves in the Healthy Marriage Initiative. The pride in his life comes from his loving wife, his measurably loving parents and grandparents, his dependable and loving friends, the service he is allowed to do, and the prayers he is allowed to make. With these things life will never become to much to bear.
