President: Halim Naeem 


Halim NaeemResidence: Kalamazoo, MI
Education: Psychology Ph.D Student (Western Michigan University); dissertation on Personality & Religion
Background: At age 17 he led the Ann Arbor Muslim Youth in Michigan. At 18 he founded the Michigan Muslim Youth Council, the largest organized body of Muslim youth in the Midwest. At age 25 he became the Youth Coordinator for the MANA. At age 26 he founded and became president of Seven Shades, a non profit organization that empowers people towards their full potential to provide positive contributions to society.
Duties: Essentially the leader of the organization and one of the visionaries
Responsible for everything (ultimately)- runs board meetings, makes relationships and meeting and do things with organizations to connect seven shades. In terms of presentation collaborates and connects with other organizations. Most of the picture stuff has to know a little about everything; to be responsible for synchronizing and collaborating, intermingling with, putting together the different
projects. Representative for the organization.

Vice President: Jamila Marr 


Jamila Marr
Residence: West Haven, CT
Education: B.S. Nursing (University of Pittsburgh)
Background: Born in Philadelphia, PA and Raised in New Haven,CT attending Masjid Al-Islam (founded by Imam Zaid Shakir) is currently a Registered Nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital. During her College years, she was an active member of the Nursing Students' Association (Sophomore Delegate '02-'03), the Muslim Students' Association (General Assembler '02-'03, President '03-'04 & '04-'05), Sankofa Community Empowerment. She held a position on the Dawah (outreach) committee at the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, and studying with brothers and sisters of the Sankore' Institute.
Duties: Essentially the same as the president, but they are a little more aware of what goes on internally within the community, oversees what goes on in detail.

Projects Coordinator: Muneer Khalid


Muneer KhalidResidence: Detroit, MI
Education: High School Student
Background: Born and raised in Detroit MI. Also serves as a MYNA regional rep, an MMYC rep and also the Seven Shades Detroit chapter president. Seven Shades was the first organization he ever joined. Before these organizations he really had no idea that stuff like this even existed. He was very excited when he first found out about it. He has been with Seven Shades since the summer and is very happy to help out in any way possible.
Duties: coordinate the projects that are going out from seven shades. They will have a committee, the person over the retreats and activities and different projects and initiatives. When we have a project that we taking on, this is the person dealing with the activities or output. Should know about what is going on. Trips, outings etc. National events, not local.

Administrative Coordinator: Tiffany Pitts


Tiffany PittsResidence: Willingboro, NJ
Education: B.A. Journalism with minor in Law & Justice (Rowan University), A.A. Communications (Burlington County College)
Background: Born and raised in NJ. I lived there when I was like 6. I attended Islamic school in Philly- Quba Institute- I graduated from HS in 2001 in Jersey then went to Abu Nour in Syria for about 2 years. I left midway through my 2nd year because of the war in Iraq.
Duties: Retention of information- contacts, paperwork, documents, emails, flyers, cards, information that goes into the brain of seven shades.

Deen Team Coordinator (Athletics & Academics): Adam Muhammad


Adam Muhammad
Residence: Kalamazoo, MI
Education: High School Student
Background: He spent four years in senegal studing The Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He is currently the Kalamazoo Central High Schools captain, of the number one mock trail team in the nation. Along with the mock trail team, he is the co-captain of the number one debate team in the state of Michigan and the co-captain of Kalamazoo Central High School Swimming and Diving team. He has attended multiple youth retreats and camps.He believes the future of seven shades is in the hand of the youth and plans on helping prepare himself and the rest of the Muslim youth lead. By to follow the path that was created for them while at the same time creating a new and improved path for the youth to follow.
Duties
: The Deen Team it is our athletic division.  They put our athletic and interscholastic development the P and the C of the peace model (physical and cognitive) vision is for it to be like a Muslim Nike, but with academics as well.

A-Team Director (Think Tank): Amir Naeem


Amir NaeemResidence: Ann Arbor, MI
Education: B.S. English Language (Eastern Michigan University). Currently enrolled in Sharia Academy, in Flint, MI, pursuing a B.S. in Islamic Studies.
Background: He has been very active over the past decade in Muslim Youth activities. He is a former president of the Ann Arbor Youth group and a long time counselor/mentor/adviser for the MMYC (Michigan Muslim Youth Council) conference and many other Muslim camps (camp al hilal, MYNA camps, MIA camps). He avidly studies Islam and spends much of his spare time in the Ann Arbor Masjid. He is currently the head of the think tank division of Seven Shades.
Duties: A research think-tank segment to advise the board, president and VP research from secular and Islamic viewpoints. Works to make sure what the organization is doing is grounded and on the right track. Tasks are given by the president and vice president. Provide information so we can move forward on the right page.

Council Coordinator: Sahar Aggour


Sahar AggourResidence: Ann Arbor, MI
Education: A student at the University of Michigan
Background: Born in Miami, FL and raised in Ann Arbor, MI from the age of 4, with the exception of living in Egypt for one year during her freshman year of high school. She enjoys having the perspective of someone who has attended public school as well as an Islamic school. She was a member of the Pioneer High School MSA (and was the president of it in the 07-08 year), the A2 Youth, and the A2 Youth Day committee. She joined Seven Shades almost as soon as they began (and was pleasantly surprised with their progress) because she was frustrated with the other Muslim organizations she had been a part of in high school, which most of the time either: fell apart, worked too slowly, or did nothing at all. She is currently a member of the UofM MSA, ASA, and VP of the Ann Arbor chapter of Seven Shades.
Duties: The speaker of the house of seven shades- branch reps- state reps, regional reps (every chapter needs a council representative to keep people informed. Council tells you what is going on all over the country. Through them, you get an idea of what is specifically going on with the branches. Activities, and the like. Represent the council which represents the affairs of all the councils. The regional reps are the council members.
